Maternity clothes? Yes, I am so thankful to have them.
Stretch marks? They are slowly creeping up. But they are tiger stripes earned from pregnancy!
Sleep: I wake up almost hourly to go potty and then I drink a little water.
Best moment this week: Hearing you are measuring early - Your great Nana guessed this on Sunday so it was like a reassuring sign. So - you may appear early Eddison!
Have you told family and friends: Yep... all that is left is your middle name - which I so can't wait to share.
Miss Anything? Honestly I miss being able to sit straight up and laying on my tummy.
Movement: She doesn't stop - EVER. It is awesome to see the movement though.
Food cravings: Popsicles.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not so much this week. Heartburn is probably the only think that can knock me down.
Have you started to show yet: Yep... I have the waddle now.
Gender prediction: Baby J - is a baby GIRL!
Labor Signs: This week has been pretty bad. I have had "preterm labor pains". They scared me because I didn't know what was happening.
Belly Button in or out? I would go with FLAT! Almost time to meet her!
Wedding rings on or off? The diamond ring is off but the band is still being worn daily.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy but stressed... completely freaking out that you will arrive this week.
Looking forward to: Hitting the 9 month mark!!! August 3rd!
This was week 33 and week 34!
Huge change. I will update with week 35 asap!

Timing

Well Eddison last night you sure gave momma a run for her money. Labor like pains and everything hurting. I feel like you are ready to make an appearance. I honestly am so scared. I am ready but not mentally. I am afraid I will fail somehow and that worries me.

If you are to come we are at 34 weeks so you should be okay, you just might be teeny tiny. Either way I am ready to meet you. I just want you to be healthy and ready when you are ready. I know when you do make your arrival I will be beyond excited and blessed.

I love you lil miss. You are already my world and I know once I look into your eyes my world will forever be different and completely consumed with you.

Please come when you are ready my dear.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy this week and super tired.
Looking forward to: Our next visit with Sis. Kim, prepping the house for your home delivery. ;-)

Eddison - we have come to the conclusion of where you will be born. After our visit with Sis. Kim we have decided it is for the best that we deliver you at home. Assisting will be Sis. Kim, your GG Nana, and Great Aunt LeAnna. Grandma Kathy will be there when needed.

Following our visit this week your dad and I both felt it was a sign we were to meet with Kim. We felt you coming into this world surrounded by noises, smells, and things you "know" and my being more comfortable at home would make the process that much more memorable, enjoyable, and easier.

You have 41 days my sweet angel. I can't wait to hold you in my arms and not just rest my hand on the tummy.

I love you.

Home Birth

Eddison Dee - I want you to know that no matter where you are born it will be exactly where God wants.
We met with Sis. Kim Retherford Tuesday night and wow. We learned so much about birth, labor, delivery, and pregnancy. Following her visit your dad and I talked and we have decided, together, to have you at home.

We have already started the preparation for you to come. We both felt it was in the best interest for all involved if we were to deliver at home. It is safe, you are used to the noises, the smells, and most of all your momma will be comfortable making for an easier delivery (lord willing).

I have to say I was a little surprised you dad was the one to give the final decision. I thank God for putting it in his heart and allowing him to feel at ease with the decision.

You will be born into a family that loves God, that follows his word, and that listens for that still small voice in everything they do. I am so thankful God never wavered from me and our family.

Oh, Eddison. The countdown is to 43 days and I couldn't be more nervous, anxious, excited, scared... the list goes on. I continue to pray for your safety, mine, and all involved. I love you so much.

I can not wait to see your eyes open and for you to look at me. That moment will, I am sure, be one of the best moments of my life.

So - stay in the womb until you are ready. We will be here when you come out.

8 months in waiting

We have been through a lot in the past 8 months; cravings, nausea, heartburn, pregnancy masks, acne, gestational diabetes, skin tags, etc. All of those things won't even matter once you arrive. There are 47 days until you arrive and I am praying we are prepared. There are so many things that need to be done and I feel we have the list completed, but no one can be 100% prepared!

Oh, Eddison Dee.... I can't wait to meet you.

33 Weeks - 7 Remaining

Eddison,
You will be here in less than 50 days (give or take). I am so nervous, excited, and anxious to meet you. I pray daily I will be a good mother to you. I also pray your delivery will be one of ease and you arrive healthy.

I have been testing my glucose levels for 3 days now. Honestly, it all looks good. This is not following the diet plan. I chose to not do the full diet because I wanted to prove to them that everything is okay. I can tell when you are not happy with what I eat, when we are both tired, or when we both are ready to take on the world. So, I figure I will let God take control. Then let the scores tell them what we already know.

Also, we have your room pretty much 100% ready for you to move in. It is adorable. I fall more in love with it each time I go in it. It seems so basic yet it is so unique. Like you.

Anywho, here are this weeks questions and answers along with the photo. I need to post the 8 month shot too.

Love you dearly,
Momma.

Movement: If she comes out still and quiet I know it is the wrong baby! Eddison is a mover and shaker!
Food cravings: Nothing much this week. I guess the biggest thing is I want coffee all the time.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No..
Have you started to show yet: Yep... I have the waddle now.
Gender prediction: Baby J - is a baby GIRL!

A Sweet Name

I feel like we have changed your name so many times. But, we have finally come to a 100% conclusion on the name and we aren't announcing until your arrival. That last tid-bit kills me. I want so badly to announce it to everyone.

The name you have has so much meaning to it that it makes me smile when I say it. I think that we took the time to really decide made all the difference in the world.

Had we stuck with Evelyn Marie I don't think I would have the same connection as I have with your name now.

You know, of course, your first name is Eddison. So pretty. It's the middle name we finally decided on.

So - welcome little miss....

Weekly Belly 24w-32w

I decided to do a collage of the belly growing! It is so strange to see how much it changes within a weeks time. The top left is 32 weeks (8mths) and the bottom is 24 weeks (6 mths) I labeled the photo wrong ;)

Eddison you sure are growing inside of momma. I look at the 24 weeks and remember thinking at that time how HUGE I felt. Then I see 32 weeks and think man I was TINY! So, lesson my dear daughter... never feel as though you are huge. God will always show you what is true.

I love you so much. We have 8 more weeks and you will be here. I can't wait.

Holidays

Happy 4th of July (a day late)!

We celebrated by hanging curtains in the living room and then heading out to the grandparents. Every year there is a HUGE firework show put on by the family...This year was amazing. You however are not a huge fan of the booms that take place prior to the pretty colors and lights.

With each one I felt a jump, a kick, or a complete turn. By the time the show was over my insides were sore and I am sure you were scared.

We also took the day checking our blood sugar and we are good to go. There are a few items that I know I should limit... milk is actually one of those. It seems to take my body about 1.5 hours to clear out the sugar, which isn't too bad. But, we are both doing well and for that I am thankful.

Overall I say the holiday was a success. Next year you will be in my arms probably jumping like you were last night. But, the idea that you will be here makes me smile. I love you so much Eddison.

Sidenote: we also have your middle name - 100% not changing. I just am not allowed to announce yet. ;-)
