Bookshelves and babies!
We got your bookshelf completed last night. It looks so good. I already have books ready for us to read together on the shelves. I sat last night in your room for a while just contemplating your arrival.
No matter, boy or girl, I will love you so much. I feel like my life is becoming complete and I can't wait to hold you in my arms.
Here is your room - it is awaiting your arrival as our your dad and I. We still have a few more things to complete before it is truly ready, but we can't wait. So you know, your grandma painted the tree trunk, Mom painted the leaves, and Dad did the bookshelf.
You are truly loved little nugget!

Happiness comes in small packages
I am already at 4 mths, I am showing, I could know the gender. I remember the day I took the test. The overwhelming joy I felt when it had that simple word - pregnant - appear. How amazing it is to know I am creating a life.
At the same time it is so scary. The world is not easy, it is scary, and full of bad things. I am always praying to raise my child right and to guide it in the right direction. I know you can't guard your children 100% of the time, but by George I will try my hardest.
I know Tim is going to be an amazing dad and that sets my heart at ease. There isn't much worry about the type of parent he will be. I see him with my friends children, and my nephews and niece. They love him and he loves them. Our baby will have a home full of love and that I know completely.
Sorry, this blog is more about the emotion I feel today. I am completely 100% happy!

Names
Is this just selfish of me? I almost want to do scratch the whole name and start over. That way it isn't about leaving a parent out, etc. Instead it is about loving the name that will be a part of my child forever.
I talked with Tim about it and he says do what you want. He said he actually liked the girl name better with Rae as the middle name. So, we may be changing the name.... but with us not finding out the gender we will have amble time to decide and agree.
* Today I had a dentist appointment and without even telling the assistant I was pregnant she knew :) I was so excited. People can tell I am pregnant and not just fat! Random thought but hey I will take what I can get!

Fishy Swimming!
Last night you took me for a ride. I was so worried for both of us. I don't think I have felt that out of it in a long time. Luckily your dad is amazing and was looking out for us.
Right now as I type I can feel the flutters in my tummy. I know you are moving around. Could be the OJ I gave you this morning. It feels like I ate a fish and it is swimming inside me. It is such a neat feeling but it trips me out at the same time. In a way it reminds me of those attacks I used to have as a youth.
Being a momma to be sure is a blessing. I thank God he gave me this job.
*Side note - God is truly amazing. I have learned of two new pregnancies that both had me crying. I am so thankful for what God has done, and is doing for me and those who mean so much to me!

150
We aren't 100% decided if we will find out or not. I think it would be the greatest surprise to not know, Tim is 50/50. We may just have them put it in an envelope and decide what to do later. We will keep you posted.
Dreams
It was about our sweet little nugget.
She came out healthy and hungry, but early. She came at 7 months... being a first time momma I had to learn to breast feed. I was so scared and she was so hungry. Katie told me she would teach me how. Once little love latched on I started to scream in pain. It hurt so bad. Tim runs in and we decide to take it slow and attempt formula and some breast feeding until I was able to continue just breastfeeding.
Then we are going to an amusement park with Micah, Katie, Jack, etc. Micah is getting her dressed and we realize we don't have clothes that fit. So we borrow some of Kora's and the socks are way too big. So we just leave them dangling and put some shoes on her, then we put her in the stroller and are headed to the fun.
* Do not ask me about why I keep dreaming of amusement parks. I can't put that with anything.
About the she... Yep, in my dream we had a little girl nugget. I again have no idea if that is what we are having. It was the first dream where I was actually holding my child. I guess we will know one of these days.

Veggies
It sure is about the small things. I haven't been able to eat green leafy veggies since I became pregnant and I sure have missed it.
Last night I decided to order a salad and before I knew it I had ate the whole thing!!!
Thank you baby J for allowing me to eat what I love!

Little Baby J
Today seems to be the day you want to make your appearance known. I have had 3 people tell me I look pregnant, good, and wow it popped!
It makes me want to cry with joy. I can not wait to meet you. I may complain about my looking fat but it is worth it to know I am growing you inside my belly. I will post a photo of the belly pop tonight so you can see the arrival :)
I am so blessed to be your momma.
Love,
Momma J.

Speaker - Listener
I had thought about the fact once this baby arrives he would start his deployments again, I hadn't thought about how I would handle that until last night.
We had to do an exercise about speaker-listener techniques. During it we were told to share something we are apprehensive about once the baby arrives.
Come to find out my biggest worry is the simple fact that while Tim will be away I will act as a single parent. I have so many friends who are single parents and they are doing great. Complete role models in my eyes. So, why then am I so afraid? Maybe it is because a life will be 100% dependant on me and me alone and that scares me. Maybe it is knowing I will be responsible for not only myself but for a baby too.
Either way, I give HUGE kudos to the single momma, daddy's, and military spouses who are currently raising their children. I tip my hat to you and look up to you. You are the reason I think I can do this. I just may be calling you for advice.

Sharing
We shared the news with Facebook - which means it is official. :)
We had a lot of positive feedback from our friends. It was so exciting to share the news. I feel like a weight has been lifted because I don't have to hide the bump, the sick, and the fatigue.
Our neighbor Annie was adorable. She came over once we got home and gave me a hug and told me to not hide things from her. I promised I wouldn't.
Now we continue to wait until our sweet baby Jacobson's arrival. I continue to pray he/she arrives healthy and happy.
Anyways, I will post a photo of the screen when we posted. Thank you all for being a part of the adventure!
